Little Feat - Hotcakes and Outtakes (4 CD, 2000) [FLAC]
"Thirty years of sophisticated music is often more than any modern rock band is expected to accomplish, but Little Feat
has spent the bulk of the last three decades offering the unexpected.
This "box set" dovetails nicely with the band's last retrospective, "Hoy
Hoy", that came out two years after the band's founder, Lowell George,
died (1979). Since then, the band has gone their separate ways,
reformed, re-tooled, and have rejuvinated a sound as authentic to our
culture as buffalo nickles and velvet art work. "Hotcakes and Outtakes"
provides a common ground for old and new fans to observe the rich,
musical talents of a band that bravely never quite fit into any
programmable radio format. The first three cd's offer a rich menu of the
band's talents, humor, and innovative sound. Replete with an 80 page
history of the band, the Little Feat story makes both sense and nonsense
out of the band constantly in conflict, but totally dependent on the
emotional traction each player brought to the table. However, it is the
fourth cd that the die hard Little Feat fan will find the most
gratifying. Here, demos and outtakes rule the day. It is a poignant
reminder of a time when an entire band shunned sleek studio wizardry and
produced simple nuts and bolts rock and roll.
Fleetwood Mac - The Complete Blue Horizon Sessions 1967-1969 (6 CD, 1999) [FLAC]
A six-CD set of everything Fleetwood Mac recorded
for the British Blue Horizon label. Wait, you're saying, didn't they
only do two albums for Blue Horizon before leaving the company in early
1969? True, but there were also the non-LP singles that comprised the
bulk of the U.K. compilation The Pious Bird of Good Omen, the two albums
of blues jams in Chicago that came out later in 1969, and the 1971 LP
The Original Fleetwood Mac, comprised of early outtakes. Make each of
those half-dozen LPs a CD, add some outtakes and alternate takes to
each, and you've got a pretty full box. Unintentionally, this box makes
the Mac a candidate for Most Erratic Major Rock Group of the Late 1960s,
ranging from the sheer brilliance of Peter Green's songs to rote blues
covers that are downright mundane, particularly some of the Jeremy
Spencer showcases and Chicago blues jams. If you're a committed enough
fan to consider buying this box, you already know that; you're probably
more concerned with whether the previously unreleased material merits
the cost. Those extras are marginal, to be honest, comprised largely of
false starts, incidental studio chatter, and alternate versions that are
pretty close to the official takes. Certainly the highlight of those
newly unearthed tracks is the 37 minutes of alternate takes of "Need
Your Love So Bad." It's also nice that the Danny Kirwan tracks that
appeared only on the U.S. album English Rose are here as well.
Unfortunately, this is not a complete retrospective of the Peter Green
era, whose best material was recorded for Reprise; there's also a lot of
noteworthy live stuff that appeared on different labels.
John Denver - The RCA Albums Collection (25 CD, 2011/FLAC)
On the face of it, John Denver was an unlikely candidate for pop stardom. He achieved fame with a message of wide-eyed optimism at a time when the U.S.A. was wracked by political scandals, economic uncertainty and the after-effects of the Vietnam War. His boyish looks and wholesome persona went against the grain of a society obsessed with hipness.
David Crosby - The P.E.R.R.O. Sessions Vol. 1-4 [8 CD]
The Planet Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra is a nickname given to artists who recorded together in the early 1970s. They were predominantly members of Jefferson Airplane, the Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and Crosby, Stills and Nash. Their first album together was Blows Against the Empire, when they were known as Jefferson Starship.

Coliseum in Vancouver on June 22, 1973; at Portland Memorial Coliseum in Portland on June 24, 1973; at Seattle Center Arena in Seattle on June 26, 1973; at P.N.E. Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) - The Classic Albums Collection [11 CD, 2011] [FLAC + 320]
Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) were a British rock group from
Birmingham, England, who released eleven studio albums between 1971 and
1986 and another album in 2001. ELO were formed to accommodate Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne's
desire to create modern rock and pop songs with classical overtones.
After Wood's departure following the band's debut record, Lynne wrote
and arranged all of the group's original compositions and produced every
album.
Yes- The Steven Wilson Remixes (5 CD, 2018) [FLAC +24/96]
In 2013, in addition to his many recording and remixing projects, Steven Wilson remixed a sizeable chunk of the Yes catalog.
Interestingly, he didn’t proceed chronologically, but by using an inner
aesthetic that has become his trademark through previous projects with
King Crimson and Jethro Tull. In 2013, he completed 1972’s Close to the
Edge, in 2014 he did a stellar job on 1974’s Relayer (arguably never
properly heard until this mix) and 1971’s The Yes Album. The following
year it was 1972’s Fragile and in 2016, 1973’s double-length Tales from
Topographic Oceans. These high-resolution remixes were previously
available only on Blu-Ray and DVD (while the conventional CDs contained
16/48 resolution mixes).
Grateful Dead - Ladies and Gentlemen... the Grateful Dead [4 CD,2000] [FLAC]
Ladies and Gentlemen... the Grateful Dead is a four-CD live album by the Grateful Dead. It was recorded at the April 25–29, 1971 shows at the Fillmore East in New York City. Some songs on the eponymous live album Grateful Dead were recorded at these shows as well. The album, released in October 2000, was certified Gold by the RIAA on January 6, 2002. Unlike Dick's Picks, Road Trips, Dave's Picks, and certain other of the band's archival series of live album releases, which are simply two-track stereo recordings made from the soundboard during the concert, the shows on Ladies and Gentlemen were recorded on a 16-track multitrack recorder and were mixed down to stereo just prior to the album's 2000 release.
Woody Guthrie - American Radical Patriot (6 CD, 2013)
Radical American Patriot is a collection of material recorded "in service" of the U.S. Government. Here are his complete Library of Congress interviews and musical performances recorded by Alan Lomax (released in their entirety for the first time); his songs written while employed by the Bonneville Power Administration, including a previously unreleased, minor key version of "Pastures of Plenty"; a set of previously unheard home demonstration recordings of songs made for a late 1940s public health service VD education program; three radio skits, including two for the Office of War Information during the Second World War; and a number of other radio performances made in support of the war effort. It's a sweeping overview both of a transitional period in American history, and of the prolific, multi-faceted life of Woody Guthrie.
Focus- Hocus Pocus Box [13 CD, 2017] (FLAC + 320)
Innovative Dutch rock band Focus see their albums collected in a new and comprehensive 13CD box set called Hocus Pocus Box.

Jerry Garcia - Before The Dead (4 CD, 2018) [24-88]
In roughly three and half hours of live and studio recordings, captured
in various ways at a variety of locales between 1961 and 1964, Before the Dead documents the late Jerry Garcia’s
formative years as a musician. Overflowing with meticulous attention to
detail in sound, text and graphics, this 4-CD set reveals how this
iconic musician nurtured those attributes that eventually stood him in
such good stead as titular leader of the Grateful Dead, the namesake of
the Jerry Garcia Band and the catalyst for the many other collaborative
efforts over the course of his thirty-plus year career.
Randy California - The Euro-American Years 1979-1983 (6 CD, 2020)
This set gathers together studio and live recordings made between 1979 and 1983 by the Randy California Band and additional live recordings by Spirit.
In mid-1979 the trio incarnation of SPIRIT broke up and Randy formed a new solo band and embarked on a European tour supporting Ian Gillan. After recording a series of demos further studio sessions produced the recordings which would form his solo album EURO-AMERICAN, released in 1982 (and included in this set). The original boxed set of THE EURO AMERICAN YEARS was compiled by Spirit archivist Mick Skidmore and was issued in 2006. The original concept for this box (which sold out very quickly in its first pressing, only to be consistently bootlegged in various countries via downloads and separate CDR discs for which the artists received no compensation) was to pull together the vast amount of music that Randy released during 1979-1983 period (although some tracks were recorded earlier and were shelved due to lack of a record deal).
The Kinks - At The BBC: Radio & TV Sessions And Concerts: 1964-1994 [5 CD, 2013/FLAC/@320]
Limited box set from the British rockers. This release is collated from
all of the BBC owned Kinks recordings that still exist in the archive
and charts the inexorable rise of the band: from the first steps on the
Pye label, to the glory days as one of the greatest acts of all time.
The BBC gave the band a platform and support at crucial stages in their
career and The Kinks At The BBC could be seen essentially as an
alternate Greatest Hits, a musical growing up in public. This incredible
archive represents a great set of previously unreleased recordings in
the Kinks catalog. The collection has been brought together by trawling
the BBC archives, but also by inviting contributions from fans. This is a
first for the band as these recordings have never been available in one
place before. The Kinks At The BBC is a triumphant collection of the
defining moments of a truly seminal British band, as witnessed,
broadcast and archived by the voice of the nation, the BBC.
Led Zeppelin - The Complete Studio Recordings (10 CD, 1993/FLAC)
The Complete Studio Recordings is a ten compact disc box set by the English rock group Led Zeppelin, released by Atlantic Records on 24 September 1993. It contains all nine of the original Led Zeppelin studio albums digitally remastered, plus an expanded version of the posthumous release Coda. The discs are physically paired together in double-disc booklets and arranged in chronological order, with the exception of Presence (placed between Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti) being paired with Houses of the Holy in order to keep the two discs of Physical Graffiti together in the same case.
Four bonus tracks were added to the Coda disc. These were the previously unreleased "Baby Come On Home" which had appeared on Led Zeppelin Boxed Set 2 (1993), along with the previously unreleased tracks that had surfaced on the 1990 box set: "Travelling Riverside Blues" and "White Summer/Black Mountain Side", as well as the "Immigrant Song" B-side "Hey, Hey, What Can I Do". This expanded version of Coda created for the box set was also later released to digital stores in 2007 with the digital release of the full Led Zeppelin catalog, but with "Travelling Riverside Blues" omitted due to it already being included in BBC Sessions (1997).
