Greg Lake - From the Underground : The Official Bootleg Vol. 1 & 2 (2011) [FLAC]

Greg Lake
is best known as a founding member of prog rock legends King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer, but his musical career spans nearly 35 years and these discs are a delightful testament to every stop along his musical journey. Consisting entirely of extremely rare or previously unreleased material, From the Underground contains both studio and live selections from '60s to the mid-'90s : groups the Shame, Shy Limbs, and King Crimson as well as Lake's later work with Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Asia, Emerson, Lake & Powell, and his own Greg Lake Band.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Works Volume 2 (Deluxe Edition, 1977/2017) [24-96]

Formed in 1970, Emerson, Lake & Palmer were torchbearers of the progressive rock sound and one of rock’s first super-groups. The world-conquering, stadium-filling prog giants helped to broaden the audience for the genre from hundreds of thousands into tens of millions and were one the most commercially successful rock bands of the 1970s. Their first 7 album releases all made the U.K. albums chart top 10 and U.S. top 20.

Works Volume 2 is ELP's sixth studio album, released in 1977, and now expertly remastered for the first time in 24 bit / High Density formats from the original tapes. The album's brief, eclectic compositions cover an array of musical styles, combining stimulating originals and handsomely orchestrated renditions of 'Maple Leaf Rag', 'Honky Tonk Train Blues', and 'Show Me The Way to Go Home'. Works 2 showcases incredibly strong performances from all 3 band members - Keith Emerson, Greg Lake and Carl Palmer. Includes the massive hit 'I Believe in Father Christmas', Greg Lake's beautiful composition, highlighting his strong voice and vibrant acoustic guitar.

CD1 features the remastered original album. Some of CD1 and all of CD2 feature tracks from the ‘In Concert’ (1979) album (later reissued as ‘Works Live’, 1993), recorded at a 26th August 1977 show at the Olympic Stadium, Montreal, Canada and other shows on that year's world tour.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Works Volume 1 (Remastered 2017) [24-96]

Works Volume 1 is the fifth studio album by English progressive rock band Emerson, Lake & Palmer, released as a double album in March 1977 on Atlantic Records. Following their world tour supporting Brain Salad Surgery (1973), the group took an extended break before they reconvened in 1976 to record a new album. They were now tax exiles and recorded new material in London and overseas in Montreux, Switzerland and Paris, France. Works Volume 1 features a side dedicated for each member to write and arrange their own tracks, while the fourth side features songs performed collectively. Keith Emerson recorded his Piano Concerto No. 1, Greg Lake wrote several songs with lyricist Peter Sinfield, and Carl Palmer recorded tracks of varied musical styles.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Out of This World: Live 1970-1997 (7 CD, 2021/FLAC)

Size mattered to Emerson, Lake & Palmer. And on this seven-CD/10-LP set of five shows from across their career, it’s interesting to note that the 5,000 or so who saw them at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 1992 is a drop in the ocean compared to the hundreds of thousands who witnessed their show at 1970’s Isle of Wight festival and 1974’s California Jam, or even the 66,000 who showed up at the Montreal Olympic Stadium in 1977.

Inside : Emerson, Lake & Palmer 1970-1995 [DVDRIP video]

Emerson, Lake & Palmer was not only the first progrock supergroup (featuring members from The Nice, King Crimson and Atomic Rooster) but also the most controversial Seventies symphonic rock band.

Watching this interesting DVD in the 'Inside serie' you can notice that from the very first moment ELP was embraced by the progheads because of their adventurous, virtuosic and bombastic approach and a grateful object for the music journalist because of the 'over the top sound'. Just listen to the descriptions here on this DVD like "ELP was overblown, excessive, pretentious.."

  • Keith Emerson / keyboards
  • Greg Lake / vocals, bass, electric - and acoustic guitar
  • Carl Palmer / drums, percussion

Greg Lake – The Anthology : A Musical Journey (2 CD, 2020/FLAC)

Greg Lake left behind a rich musical legacy when he passed away in 2016. As a member of Emerson Lake & Palmer, King Crimson, pre-Crim bands The Shy Limbs and The Shame – not to mention his talents as a solo artist, producer, and composer – he helped define the landscape of progressive rock.

A new career-spanning compilation called The Anthology: A Musical Journey will pay tribute to his contributions through the decades. The two-disc set features 33 tracks, including many of Lake’s best-known songs, beloved album cuts, and rarities. There’s the hard-to-find “Love” that Lake recorded with The Shy Limbs, ELP favorites “Take a Pebble,” “‘C’est La Vie.” and “Lucky Man.” His time with King Crimson is represented with “Peace” from In the Wake of Poseidon, “In the Court of the Crimson King.” recorded live at the Fillmore West, and “21st Century Schizoid Man” as performed solo in 1981. A clutch of ’80s solo material is also included, alongside a collaboration with Geoff Downes and a number of live recordings. Lake’s re-recording of the old ELP favorite “Closer to Believing” – one of his final recordings – is another highlight of the collection.

VA - The Many Faces Of Emerson, Lake & Palmer [3 CD, 2015/FLAC]

Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP) is one of the most popular and successful english progressive rock bands in history. The main characteristics that made the trio so popular were their technical skills and their showmanship. It wasn't very usual -back then- to see such technically proficient musicians like keith Emerson (keyboards) or Carl Palmer (drums) to develop such a highly-visual concert experience; which in fact made an often quite complex music genre, instantly appealing to a broad audience.

The Many Faces of Emeron, Lake & Palmer is a key release that shows uknown aspects of their successful career.
