Golden Earring - The Complete Studio Recordings (29 CD, 2017) [FLAC]

Legendary Dutch rockers Golden Earring see their long career celebrated with a  Complete Studio Albums box set.

All 26 studio albums are included in this box, from their 1965 debut Just Ear-rings to 2015’s The Hague. Three bonus CDs with non-album tracks (such as That Day, Sound Of The Screaming Day, So You Want To Be A Rock’n’Roll Star and L.A. Woman) complete the collection.

Golden Earring - Moontan (2 CD Deluxe, 2021/FLAC)

Moontan
is the ninth album by Dutch rock band Golden Earring, released in 1973. It contains the radio hit "Radar Love", and was voted 9th best Dutch pop album ever by readers of music magazine Oor in 2008. Moontan is the band's most successful album in the United States, being the only Golden Earring album to be certified Gold by the RIAA.

In June 2020, the original mastertapes of this classic album were unearthed for a long-awaited remastered edition - 48 years after it's original release. The second CD entitled The Moontan Sessions features nine previously unreleased mixes/different versions that give insight into the whole production process of the album. Taken from a variety of archive tapes, these include the original basic recordings of 'Radar Love', 'The Song Is Over', 'Are You Receiving Me' and 'Vanilla Queen', taped in early 1973 at Phonogram Studios in Hilversum (The Netherlands), which were overdubbed and finished at London's IBC Studios in July 1973.

Golden Earring discography [1965-2012]

Golden Earring was a Dutch rock band, founded in 1961 in The Hague as The Golden Earrings (the definite article was dropped in 1967, while the "s" was dropped in 1969). They achieved worldwide fame with their international hit songs "Radar Love" in 1973, which went to number one on the Dutch charts, reached the top ten in the United Kingdom, and went to number thirteen on the United States charts, "Twilight Zone" in 1982, and "When the Lady Smiles" in 1984. During their career they have had nearly 30 top-ten singles on the Dutch charts while releasing 25 studio albums.

The band went through a number of early line-up changes, though the band reached a stable line-up in 1970, consisting of Rinus Gerritsen (bass and keyboards), George Kooymans (vocals and guitar), Barry Hay (vocals, guitar, flute and saxophone), and Cesar Zuiderwijk (drums and percussion), which remained unchanged until the band broke up in February 2021 following the diagnosis of Kooymans with ALS. A number of other musicians also appeared in short stints with the band over its history as well.

Golden Earring – Alive...Through The Years 1977-2015 (11 CD, 2018/FLAC)

Limited 11CD box set from Dutch rock legends Golden Earring. Together with Red Bullet, the band collected seven live albums, plus some unique recordings previously only available as B-sides. Also included are several recordings from the Five Zero Show from 2015, which were only available on DVD before. The live albums are divided in six digipacks. The seventh set is a bonus disc with live rarities. The box also features a 32-page booklet with liner notes from Tjerk Lammers. In this booklet, the various Live LPs are highlighted separately. And the existence of a band on-the-road comes alive by various anecdotes as told by Tjerk, who also recently interviewed lead singer Barry Hay for this box set and who in 2015 published a book about the Golden Earring. The booklet is illustrated with beautiful photographs from the Vinkes brothers, who have been photographing the Golden Earring as early as the late 70s. Alive... Through the Years is the successor to the Complete Studio Recordings box set released two years ago. And just like the latter, this live box set will also be released as a limited numbered edition.

This collection brings together live albums such as Live (1977), Something Heavy Going Down (1984) and The Naked Truth (1992) and includes a bonus CD with live rarities.
