Guitarist Robbie Kreiger answers the question regarding Morrison being alive after the tape recorder has been switched off, effectively furthering the Morrison myth.

On July 5th, 1968, The Doors took to the stage of the Hollywood Bowl for a concert that has since passed into legend. The Doors were performing on the back of their 3rd album release Waiting For The Sun and the US No.1 single Hello, I Love You. They had been honing their live performances over the previous 2 years and were on absolute peak form. Now for the first time the original film footage from the Hollywood Bowl has been digitally scanned and restored to present the show better and more complete than it's ever been seen before, with 2 previously unreleased tracks (Hello, I Love You & THE WASP (Texas Radio And The Big Beat) (aka just Texas Radio And The Big Beat) returned to the running order and with sound newly remixed and mastered from the original multitrack tapes by The Doors engineer and co-producer Bruce Botnick.

The Doors - Live in New York 1970 [6 CD, 2009/FLAC+320]
Live In New York is a six-disc collection that contains all four of The Doors’ final tour performances recorded in 1970 at the Felt Forum in New York City. Recorded January 17 and 18, 1970—just a few weeks before the release of Morrison Hotel—these concerts find Jim Morrison, John Densmore, Robby Krieger, and Ray Manzarek locked in tight as they deliver smoking takes on soon-to-be-classics from their forthcoming album.
All four shows were mixed and mastered by the band’s longtime engineer, Bruce Botnick, who recorded a number of shows from The Doors’ 1970 tour on multi-track tape for the Absolutely Live album. Sadly, these shows represent The Doors’ final New York City performances with Morrison, who passed away July 3, 1971.

The Doors - Weird Scenes Inside the Gold Mine (2 CD, 1972/2014/FLAC)
Weird Scenes Inside the Gold Mine is the second compilation album by American rock band the Doors (following 13) and the first following the death of singer Jim Morrison. The album was released in January 1972.
The album's title is a lyric from the song "The End." The cover was designed by Bill Hoffman, with a gatefold jacket containing band shots by Joel Brodsky and liner notes by Bruce Harris, national publicist for Elektra Records.
The Doors - The Soft Parade - 1969 (3 CD, Elektra Records 2019/FLAC)
The Soft Parade is the fourth studio album by American rock band the Doors, released on July 18, 1969, by Elektra Records. Most of the album was recorded following a grueling tour during which the band was left with little time to compose new material. Producer Paul A. Rothchild recommended a total departure from the Doors' first three albums: develop a fuller sound by incorporating brass and string arrangements provided by Paul Harris. Lead singer Jim Morrison, who was dealing with personal issues and focusing more on his poetry, was less involved in the songwriting process, leaving guitarist Robby Krieger to increase his own creative output.
VA - The Many Faces of Doors [3 CD, 2015] [FLAC]
No one can deny that The Doors is one of the essentials bands in
the history of rock. With tons of charisma (let's not forget that -at
the time- Jim Morrison was referred by the press as "the American Mick
Jagger"), a very personal sound and with an incredible catalog, The
Doors have become not only a key band of the genre, but also a source of
inspiration for countless artists. In this triple album, 'The Many
Faces Of The Doors' we get into the secret world of the band, with
hard-to-find tracks, side projects by its members, remakes and also,
their roots. With a great cover art, a selection of songs that took a
couple of years of work to secure, a remastered sound and liner notes, The Many Faces Of The Doors is a unique album, which is already being praised by many fans of the band.
The Doors - Morrison Hotel (50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) [2 CD, 2020/FLAC]
The Doors fifth studio album, Morrison Hotel, has been reissued for its 50th anniversary.
The album was recorded in late 1969/early 1970 and released in February
1970. It’s newly remastered for this release by Bruce Botnick and this
version is included on CD and as 180g vinyl record.
