Free - Songs of Yesterday (5 CD, 2000) [FLAC + 320]

This is an imported 5 cd anthology which summarizes the career of the British band Free.

The first three discs contain remastered versions (excellent sound), alternate takes, non-lp tracks and unissued tracks from their career. The fourth disc contains alternate versions and unissued tracks from their live album. The last disc summarizes the solo career of the members of the band.

After the first break-up of Free in the spring of 1971, Rodgers briefly formed a three-piece band called Peace. Alongside bassist Stewart McDonald and drummer Mick Underwood, Rodgers played guitar and sang lead vocal. Peace supported Mott the Hoople's UK tour in 1971, but broke up when Free reformed at the start of 1972. Two songs by Peace were eventually included on the fifth disc of the 2000 Free compilation Songs of Yesterday, along with a song that Rodgers recorded with the Maytals. A bootleg has circulated of a 22 December 1971 appearance by Peace on the BBC's Top Gear program.

Bad Company - Desolation Angels (40th Anniversary Edition) (2019 Remaster) [24-96]

Desolation Angels is the fifth studio album by English rock supergroup Bad Company, released on March 17, 1979. Paul Rodgers revealed on In the Studio with Redbeard (which devoted an episode to Desolation Angels) that the album's title came from the 1965 novel of the same name by Jack Kerouac. The title was almost used 10 years previous to name the second album from Rodgers' previous band, Free, which in the end was called simply Free.

The album was remastered and re-released in 1994. In 2019, Rhino put out a deluxe edition to honor the 40th anniversary with many alternate versions and bonus tracks.

  •     Paul Rodgers – vocals, guitar, piano, synthesisers
  •     Mick Ralphs – guitar, keyboards
  •     Boz Burrell – bass
  •     Simon Kirke – drums
