Lightnin' Hopkins - All the Classics 1946-1951 [5 CD, 2003/FLAC]

 This five-disc collection from London's JSP Records brings together 126 sides that Lightnin' Hopkins tracked for the Aladdin, Modern/RPM, and Gold Star labels at the very start of his recording career. Included are the Texas bluesman's first hit, "Katie May" from 1946, "T-Model Blues" from 1949, and arguably the most startling Hopkins composition, the powerful "Tim Moore's Farm," also from 1949. Most of the tracks are Hopkins solo, playing either acoustic or electric guitar, but he takes a turn at the organ for "Organ Boogie," a track that shows the same adventuresome liberties with tempo and time that mark all of his work, whatever the instrument.

All tracks have been digitally remastered.

  • Lightnin' Hopkins (vocals, guitar);
  • Frankie Lee Sims, Joel Hopkins (guitar);
  • Thunder Smith (piano).

Pink Floyd - A Saucerful Of Secrets - The High Resolution Remasters (4 CD, 2019/FLAC)

A Saucerful of Secrets is the second studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 29 June 1968 by EMI Columbia in the United Kingdom and on 27 July 1968 in the United States by Tower Records. During recording, the mental health of singer and guitarist Syd Barrett declined, so David Gilmour was recruited to complement him; Barrett left the band before the album's completion.

Whereas Barrett had led songwriting for Pink Floyd's debut album, Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967), on A Saucerful of Secrets each member contributed songwriting and lead vocals. Gilmour appeared on all but two songs, while Barrett contributed to three. "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" is the only song on which all five members appeared.

The Dead - 2009 Tour (23 shows)

 The Dead was an American rock band composed of some of the former members of the Grateful Dead.

After the death of Jerry Garcia in 1995, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann formed the band The Other Ones, performing concert tours in 1998 (without Kreutzmann), 2000 (without Lesh), and 2002, and released one album, The Strange Remain. In 2003, they changed their name to The Dead.

The band toured the United States in the spring of 2009, playing 23 concerts in April and May, with a lineup of Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, Warren Haynes, and Jeff Chimenti.

After the 2009 Dead tour, Bob Weir and Phil Lesh performed together for the next five years with their new band Furthur

Foreigner discography [1977-2017/FLAC]

Built around the songwriting skills and fiery guitar riffing of Mick Jones and the arena-filling vocals of Lou Gramm, Foreigner's hooky style of AOR caught on in a big way in the late '70s. Their first two albums -- 1977's Foreigner and 1978's Double Vision -- were a double shot of exceedingly catchy songs and slick production that topped the charts and spawned a number of huge singles. As musical trends changed, so did the band: they added new wave elements to their sound, worked with Mutt Lange on 1981's 4, and moved into an adult style on ballads like "Waiting for a Girl Like You" and their biggest hit, 1984's "I Want to Know What Love Is." Though the band's recording career stalled when Gramm left the band in the late '80s, different incarnations of the band continued touring and their presence can still be heard daily on rock radio, while their blend of hard rock and soft ballads proved influential to bands ranging from Soul Asylum to One Direction.
