Discs 1 & 2 Taiikukan, Tokyo, Japan, March 6, 1972 – This show has been released many times previously . Disc 1 also includes the excellent sounding FM broadcast. The audience source is as good as any of the previous releases.
Discs 3 & 4 Taiikukan, Tokyo, Japan, March 7, 1972 – Excellent sounding audience recording using the source 1 tape as the main filling the rest from the alt sources. There are 2 other sources for this show which can be found on Sigma’s Missing Pieces & Tokyo 2nd Night). The No Label team released another edition from the master tape called “Definitive Tokyo 1972 2nd Night”, it didn’t sound significantly better to me as they used the old processing technique that defines and gives the music more clarity but also raises the hiss. Master tapes should have very little hiss if none at all.
Discs 5 & 6 Festival Hall, Osaka, Japan, March 8, 1972 – This uses source 2 tape for the main and uses alt sources to fill the show. Source 2 had been released previously on Fourth Eclipsed Night from Highland, this much better sounding.
