Justin Johnson discography [2013-2021]

Justin Johnson
is a Nashville-based American musician. However, he is so much more than just an ordinary guitar player. His playing style is mesmerizing to watch and there is no doubt he is a talented musician. However, his videos become even more impressive when you realize he is playing a guitar that is built out of a shovel.

Justin is very creative with his craft. Not only does he create great music but he also builds his own custom instruments to play with and some of them are pretty incredible! There are videos of Justin playing all sorts of novel guitars including a skateboard guitar and a shovel guitar just to name two.

Lauded as an “American Master” by John Carter Cash (the only child of the legendary Johnny Cash) and as a “Musical Visionary” by Ted Nugent (the lead guitarist of The Amboy Dukes) and Justin has been declared a “must-see act” by Guitar World. Justin has clearly received some of the highest accolades within the industry.

VA - Time Machine - A Vertigo Retrospective 1969-73 (3 CD, 2005/FLAC)

This collection celebrates the vision of Olav Wyper and his A&R team during Vertigo's early years, (notably Patrick Campbell-Lyons of UK band Nirvana who produced many of the early Vertigo albums), and celebrates an age when musical creativity was the watch word. Although sometimes the resulting recordings were less than satisfactory, the musicians behind them were brave and hardy souls. Due to the vagaries of the rights reversion of some of the music released on the Vertigo label in its first three years of operation, it has not been possible to include some material by artists whose contributions were of equal merit to those artists featured here. Musicians such as Mike Absalom, Assagai, Graham Bond, Fairfield Parlour et al all deserve attention from aficionados of the "progressive" era. It is to them and the artists featured that this set is dedicated.

Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Steve Winwood, Jimmy Page & friends - The ARMS Charity Concert 1983 (DVDRIP video)

The ARMS Charity Concerts were a series of charitable rock concerts in support of Action into Research for Multiple Sclerosis in 1983. The first (and initially planned to be the only) event took place at the Royal Albert Hall on September 20, 1983, with subsequent dates occurring in the United States, with slightly different lineups of musicians.

The idea for hosting the concert was envisaged by Ronnie Lane, ex-bassist for Small Faces and Faces, himself a casualty of multiple sclerosis. The concert was billed as The Ronnie Lane Appeal for ARMS and featured a star-studded line-up of British musicians, including Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Steve Winwood, Andy Fairweather Low, Bill Wyman, Kenney Jones, Charlie Watts and Ray Cooper. The concert was particularly notable in the fact that it was the first occasion on which Clapton, Beck and Page, each a former lead guitarist for The Yardbirds, had performed together on stage.

They later booked a winter tour, on which they played at only two venues: the Ogden Theatre in Denver on February 21, and the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado on the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th.

The band withdrew from Bottlerock, due to injuries guitarist Bob Weir sustained after a fall on the final night of the Capitol Theatre run.

Furthur has also announced a summer/autumn tour, starting at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on July 11 and ending at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on October 6. During this tour Furthur played at All Good music festival in Thornville, Ohio July 20 and 21. Furthur then played four nights at Red Rocks, in Morrison, Colorado, starting with the full moon show September 19 and concluding on Sunday, September 22 with guest Branford Marsalis.
