The Felice Brothers discography [2006-2021]

Hailing from the Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York, the Felice Brothers blend folk, Americana, and revivalist roots rock into a uniquely earthy sound. The Felice Brothers clearly value inspiration over technique, though their evocative, '60s-influenced sound reveals they're capable instruments with solid vocal harmonies. The group made the most of their scruffy, back-to-the-land approach on 2008's The Felice Brothers and 2009's Yonder Is the Clock, but with 2011's Celebration, Florida, they experimented with more ambitious and impressionistic arrangements, and they gained strength as songwriters on 2019's Undress and 2021's From Dreams to Dust.

Level 42 - The Complete Polydor Years 1980-1984 (10 CD, 2021/FLAC)

The Complete Polydor Years 1980-1984  is a ten-CD Level 42 box set that brings together the first five albums alongside an extraordinary amount of bonus material.

This new package features the albums Level 42 (1981), The Early Tapes (1982), The Pursuit of Accidents (1982), Standing in the Light (1983) and True Colours (1984). But that’s only half the story because five further CDs offer a wealth of seven-inch remixes (some new to CD), B-sides, 12-inch mixes and bonus tracks including early performances at the Regal Theatre in Hitchin (in Hertfordshire, England).

The set has been compiled in conjunction with Level 42 and band experts Paul Wallace, Paul Waller and Simon Carson. Tony Dixon at Masterpeice Masters has handled the remastering process.

Rod Stewart - Reason To Believe -The Complete Mercury Studio Recordings [3 CD, 2002/FLAC]

Anyone who thinks Rod Stewart is a disco/AOR singer should listen to this. The music on this boxset is raw and honest rock with a country-rock/folkrock feel.  The remastering is very well done and this really is the complete Rod Stewart Mercury Anthology which covers the periode 1969-1974.

Sister Rosetta Tharpe collection [1996-2011]

Sister Rosetta Tharpe (March 20, 1915 – October 9, 1973) was an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and recording artist. She attained popularity in the 1930s and 1940s with her gospel recordings, characterized by a unique mixture of spiritual lyrics and electric guitar that was extremely important to the origins of rock and roll. She was the first great recording star of gospel music and among the first gospel musicians to appeal to rhythm-and-blues and rock-and-roll audiences, later being referred to as "the original soul sister" and "the Godmother of rock and roll". She influenced early rock-and-roll musicians, including Little Richard, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis.
