Jeff Beck discography 1968-2022 [FLAC / FLAC-HD]
Geoffrey Arnold "Jeff" Beck (24 June 1944 – 10 January 2023)) was an
English rock guitarist. One of three noted guitarists, with Eric
Clapton and Jimmy Page, to have played with The Yardbirds, Beck also formed The Jeff Beck Group and Beck, Bogert & Appice. He was ranked 14th in Rolling Stone's
list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time", and the magazine
has described him as "one of the most influential lead guitarists in
rock". MSNBC has called him a "guitarist's guitarist"
Much of
Beck's recorded output has been instrumental, with a focus on
innovative sound and his releases have spanned genres ranging from blues-rock,
heavy metal, jazz fusion and most recently, an additional blend of
guitar-rock and electronica. Beck has earned wide critical praise;
furthermore, he has received the Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental
Performance five times. Although he has had two hit albums (in 1975
and 1976) as a solo act, Beck has not established or maintained a broad
following or the sustained commercial success of many of his
collaborators and bandmates. Beck appears on albums by Mick Jagger, Kate
Bush, Roger Waters, Stevie Wonder, Les Paul, Zucchero, Cyndi Lauper,
Brian May and ZZ Top. He also made a cameo appearance in the movie Twins (1988).
He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice: as a member of The Yardbirds (1992) and as a solo artist (2009).

Bob Weir - Ace (50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) [2 CD/FLAC-HD]
When Bobby started working on ACE at Wally Heider’s Studio in San Francisco in early 1972, he wasn’t planning for the Grateful Dead to be his backing band. It just happened. “I pretty much knew in the back of my mind what would happen,” Weir told Crawdaddy a few months after the sessions. “I go and get the time booked and start putting the material together. Everybody gets wind of the fact I got the time booked and I may be going into the studio. So, one by one, they start coming around…”
It made sense, the band was already familiar with most of the music, having road-tested six of the album’s eight songs, including “Greatest Story Ever Told,” “Mexicali Blues,” and “Playing In The Band,” destined to become one of Weir’s signature tunes. ACE also marked the beginning of Weir’s long-running collaboration with lyricist John Perry Barlow and includes early standouts “Cassidy” and “Looks Like Rain.”

well as a rare performance from the band's 1969 debut album, two tracks
from the band's 1980s pop rock era, and the first performance of the
1996 epic "Mind Drive" from the overlooked Keys to Ascension albums (the band had never performed material from these recordings).

Poco - Crazy Eyes [1973/FLAC]
Poco is a Southern California country rock band originally formed by Richie Furay, Jim Messina and Rusty Young. Formed following the demise of Buffalo Springfield in 1968, Poco was part of the first wave of the West Coast country rock genre. The title of their first album, Pickin' Up the Pieces, is a reference to the break-up of Buffalo Springfield.
The third biggest-selling album in the group's history, Crazy Eyes is also the group's liveliest and most bracing work and contains some of their most soulful music. In short, it's the fruition of everything they'd been working toward for four years. Curiously, it's also one of a handful of examples of their use of outside help, including Chris Hillman on mandolin. The resulting sound is richer than anything found on any other Poco album, and the only tragedy is that the band reportedly cut enough tracks for two whole albums -- one longs to hear the material that remained in the can. As it is, there's not a weak song, or even a wasted note anywhere on this album, and most bands would kill for a closing track as perfect as "Let's Dance Tonight."
Frank Zappa - The Hot Rats Sessions (6 CD, 2019/FLAC)
The mostly-instrumental LP came on the heels of the breakup of the original Mothers of Invention, making it clear that Zappa was a force with which to be reckoned as a composer. Described by the artist as “a movie for your ears,” Hot Rats was a fusion of jazz and rock as only Zappa could create. Recorded on 16 tracks (a first for a Zappa album), it featured the producer/arranger/guitar virtuoso (who also played bass and percussion) joined by The Mothers’ Ian Underwood as well as Max Bennett, Johnny Otis, Shuggie Otis, John Guerin, Paul Humphrey, Ron Selico, Don “Sugarcane” Harris, and Jean-Luc Ponty. Don Van Vliet, a.k.a. Captain Beefheart, provided the vocals on the lone non-instrumental, “Willie the Pimp.”

Emmylou Harris- Transmission Impossible [3 CD, 2017/FLAC]
Probably the most consistent country artist of the past 40 years, and if not the mother of nu-country, then certainly one of its main informants, Emmylou Harris remains as popular and dynamic a performer today as she ever was. This triple-set collection features three superb FM broadcast recordings from across the girl s career to date. Beginning with a show she performed with Gram Parsons and the Fallen Angels in 1973, this is followed on Disc 2 by a set recorded in Illinois a couple of years later in 75. This collection is then concluded with Emmylou s classic appearance at The Bottom Line, New York with Spyboy as her backing band.
Henry Cow - The 40th Anniversary Henry Cow Box Set [10 CD, 2009]
The progressive rock genre spawned many groups that became top-grossing arena acts -- Pink Floyd and Genesis are two -- as well as many who progressed right into obscurity. Henry Cow were one of the best known and most widely traveled English bands of the progressive era (though only a cult favorite in the U.S. and actually more popular in Continental Europe than in their home country), and their music has aged amazingly well over the ensuing decades due to the group's diverse influences (Oliver Messiaen, Kurt Weill, Frank Zappa, and Soft Machine were a few) and uncompromising creativity. Henry Cow functioned more or less as a collective, with a true group identity that changed from album to album as members came and went. This turnover was one factor in their consistent vitality; another was the dedicated core of the band, a serious, politicized trio whose interest in improvisation served to leaven the complexity they supplied as primary writers.
