Grateful Dead - Complete Studio Albums Collection (13 CD, 2013) [FLAC-HD + 320]

This hi-res collection of the Grateful Dead's studio work has been painstakingly produced from the original master tapes of each album, using their original mixes to produce a work that is truer to the original sound than any previous release.

Included in this collection are the band's 13 studio albums, spanning three decades and containing over 8 hours of music, lovingly rendered in hi-resolution:

The Complete Studio Albums Collection contains all 13 of Grateful Dead's studio albums. Drawing from the 1960s, the bundle features the group’s gold-certified self-titled debut; Anthem of the Sun, which is the first with drummer Mickey Hart; and Aoxomoxoa, which boasts the live staple “St. Stephen.” Music from the 1970s includes: the back-to-back platinum releases Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty; Wake Of The Flood, the first with keyboardist Keith Godchaux who replaced founding member Ron “Pigpen” McKernan; From the Mars Hotel, which features the debut of “Scarlet Begonias”; Blues For Allah with the standout track “Franklin’s Tower”; and two gold albums in a row, Terrapin Station and Shakedown Street. The 1980s are represented by: Go To Heaven, the first with keyboardist Brent Mydland; the double-platinum In The Dark; and the group’s final studio album, Built To Last, which debuted on Halloween 1989.

"Built To Last" is included here in 16 bit audio and not 24 bit because the master tape is 16 bit PCM digital audio, unlike the previous 12 albums. The others are 24 bit 192 kbps.

Chris Wood - Evening Blue (4 CD, 2017) [FLAC]

Perhaps best known for co-founding Traffic with Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi and Dave Mason, Chris Wood was self taught on Saxophone and Flute although he was also an accomplished keyboards player and bass guitarist too. And a fine artist as well; from Stourbridge College of Art, Chris was accepted by the Royal Academy in 1965 where he ultimately faced the choice – music or art.

The 4 CDs included music drawn from Chris’s entire career with his solo recordings taking centre-stage. We also featured alternate takes and mixes as well as previously unheard compositions and never-before-heard home demos and other sketches.

Naturally, there was music from Traffic as well as recordings by Gordon Jackson, John Martyn, Dave Mason, Jim Capaldi, Bobby Whitlock, Airforce, Martha Velez, Nick Drake, Shawn Phillips and others.

Evening Blue also featured Chris’s previously unheard collaborative work with The Wailers’ keyboard player, Tyrone Downie as well as Rebop Kwaku Baah, Remi Kabaka, The Sky, Dr John & Jeanette Jacobs. Tracks from the only known-to-survive recordings by the short-lived Mason, Capaldi, Wood & Frog line-up were also included as was a brand new 2015 collaboration – Maps with Chris Wood.

Free - Songs of Yesterday (5 CD, 2000) [FLAC + 320]

This is an imported 5 cd anthology which summarizes the career of the British band Free.

The first three discs contain remastered versions (excellent sound), alternate takes, non-lp tracks and unissued tracks from their career. The fourth disc contains alternate versions and unissued tracks from their live album. The last disc summarizes the solo career of the members of the band.

After the first break-up of Free in the spring of 1971, Rodgers briefly formed a three-piece band called Peace. Alongside bassist Stewart McDonald and drummer Mick Underwood, Rodgers played guitar and sang lead vocal. Peace supported Mott the Hoople's UK tour in 1971, but broke up when Free reformed at the start of 1972. Two songs by Peace were eventually included on the fifth disc of the 2000 Free compilation Songs of Yesterday, along with a song that Rodgers recorded with the Maytals. A bootleg has circulated of a 22 December 1971 appearance by Peace on the BBC's Top Gear program.

Buffalo Springfield - What's That Sound : Complete Albums Collection (5 CD, 2018) [FLAC + 24-196]

On May 5th, 1968, Stephen Stills, Neil Young, Richie Furay, Bruce Palmer and Dewey Martin played their final show together as Buffalo Springfield. (Young, Stills, and Furay reunited under the moniker in 2011, though Palmer and Martin had passed away in 2004 and 2009, respectively.) To celebrate the 50th anniversary of that ultimate performance, Rhino is releasing a brand new box set featuring the band’s entire, three-album discography.

Buffalo Springfield's discography received the complete box set treatment in 2001, with a four-disc set filled with previously unreleased demos, alternate takes, and other rarities. In contrast, What's That Sound: The Complete Albums Collection attempts to restore the discography to how it was heard upon its original release. Whether in its vinyl or CD incarnation, it serves up both the stereo and mono versions of 1966's Buffalo Springfield and 1967's Buffalo Springfield Again, along with the stereo version of 1968's Last Time Around. Neil Young supervised the remastering, so the audio is on par with his acclaimed Original Release Series, and the packaging has been replicated, resulting in the rare complete box set that offers a considerable bang for the buck.

Joni Mitchell - Love Has Many Faces: A Quartet, a Ballet, Waiting to Be Danced (4 CD, 2014) [FLAC]

In the '60s and '70s, Joni Mitchell was widely seen as the archetypal female singer/songwriter, the original Lady from the Canyon who sang passionate but laid-back songs full of organic wisdom about love and life. Of course, that image was never an accurate portrait of the sort of artist Mitchell was -- emotionally she was never hesitant to cut deep, even on languid acoustic numbers, and her skills as a lyricist, vocalist, and guitarist were estimable.

AC/DC - Complete 2003 Remasters [16 CD, 2003]

AC/DC are an Australian rock band, formed in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, who have remained the sole constant members. Commonly classified as hard rock, they are considered pioneers of heavy metal and are sometimes classified as such, though they themselves have always classified their music as simply "rock and roll". To date they are one of the highest grossing bands of all time.
