Uriah Heep - 11 Albums Collection Japan SHM-CD with bonus tracks (2011/FLAC)

Uriah Heep's by-the-books progressive heavy metal made the British band one of the most popular hard rock groups of the early '70s. Formed by vocalist David Byron and guitarist Mick Box in the late '60s, the group went through an astonishing number of members over the next two decades - nearly 30 different musicians passed through the band over the years. Byron and Box were members of the mid-'60s rock band called the Stalkers; once that band broke up, the duo formed another group called Spice. Spice would eventually turn into Uriah Heep in the late '60s, once Ken Hensley (guitar, keyboards, vocals) and bassist Paul Newton joined the pair. Former Spice drummer Alex Napier was the band's drummer for a brief time; he was quickly replaced by Nigel Olsson. Uriah Heep released their debut album Very 'eavy...Very 'umble (called Uriah Heep in the U.S.) in 1970. After its release, Keith Baker became the group's drummer; he recorded Salisbury, the group's second album, before deciding he couldn't keep up with the band's extensive touring and was replaced by Ian Clarke. Salisbury, featuring a 16-minute title track recorded with a 26-piece orchestra, showcased the band's more progressive tendencies. Later that year, Ian Clarke was replaced by Lee Kerslake and Mark Clarke replaced Newton; Mark Clarke quickly left the band and Gary Thain became the group's bassist. This lineup of Uriah Heep was its most stable and popular; beginning with 1972's Demons and Wizards, they released five albums between 1972 and 1975. After 1975, the band's popularity began to slip. Byron left the band in 1977 and was replaced by John Lawton, yet the group's fortunes kept declining right into the early '80s. However, Uriah Heep soldiered on, continuing to release albums into the '90s and 2000s.

The Beatles - Dr. Ebbetts Album Collection MFSL Japan (14 CD, 2008) [FLAC + 24/96]

The Beatles: The Collection was a vinyl boxed set of every Beatles album remastered at half speed from the original stereo master recordings, except for Magical Mystery Tour which was mastered from Capitol Records' submasters with the last three tracks in rechanneled stereo.

Released with much anticipation in early October 1982, The Collection was lauded by critics and Beatles fans worldwide for the superb sound, and sold-out completely within the first year. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) pressed a second run of the Beatles Boxed Set for a total production run of 25,000 over the next two years or until October 1985.

Each album was pressed on black vinyl by the Victor Company of Japan. The album covers were replaced with photographs of tape boxes and log sheet. The original album covers were included in a booklet which also featured a certificate of authenticity as this was a limited edition collection. Missing from this collection were all of the Beatles' singles, extended Play and a few miscellaneous tracks that did not appear on their original UK albums.

Glenn Hughes - Official Bootleg Box Volume 3 1995-2010 [FLAC]

He has been quite rightly hailed as 'The Voice Of Rock', as this live set ably testifies. With vocals soaked in blues and soul, Glenn Hughes has fronted many legendary rock acts, including Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Hughes-Thrall, Trapeze and Black Country Communion. Whilst every effort has been made to produce the best possible audio, limitations in the material drawn from various, non-standard, and unofficial sources means that the quality may not be up to the standard usually expected. All tracks have been included for their historical importance, and to present an alternative anthology of Glenn Hughes live on stage from 1995-2010.

John Lennon - Plastic Ono Band (The Ultimate Collection, 8 CD, 2021) [FLAC + 24/192]

“Plastic Ono Band,” released in December 1970, was John Lennon’s first solo album after the breakup of the Beatles earlier that year. It was a far cry from the tuneful reassurance of Paul McCartney’s one-man-studio-band album “McCartney” and the polished abundance of George Harrison’s triple album, “All Things Must Pass,” both of which were also released that year. In both music and lyrics, “Plastic Ono Band” was a stark statement of pain, separation, vulnerability and self-reclamation after the whirlwind that had been Lennon’s life as a Beatle. Half a century later, the album retains its power.

Now it has been remixed, massively expanded, anatomized and annotated as “Plastic Ono Band: The Ultimate Collection”. The compilation was produced by Yoko Ono, Lennon’s widow and a producer (with Lennon and Phil Spector) of the original album, and Simon Hilton; there are other configurations for less obsessive fans.

Humble Pie - Official Bootleg Box Set Vol 1 (3 CD, 2017/FLAC)

Humble Pie’s “Official Bootleg Box Set Volume 1” is a raw testament to what this band did best; playing bluesy, gutsy, soulful and often hard rock, live on stage to an adoring audience. Drawn from a variety of mainly audience recordings that have previously only been available as “under the counter” pirate releases, this is an honest, and often unforgiving, tribute to a classic and much missed 70s supergroup.

Bob Dylan - Man On The Street, Vol. 2 (10 CD, 2019) [FLAC]

Second set of Dylan's performances : 1974-1994

Rod Stewart - The Studio Albums 1975-2001 (14 CD, 2013/FLAC)

Faust - Faust 1971-1974 (9 CD, 2021/FLAC)

Faust 1971-1974 is new box set, available on CD and vinyl, that collects the music of Faust, the band who are strongly associated with Krautrock movement in West German.

The 8CD box set (also available as a 7LP vinyl collection) contains the four albums from the original early Seventies incarnation of the band. That is, Faust (1971), So Far (1972) , The Faust Tapes (1973) and Faust IV (1973). It also includes Punkt, a 1974 album that has never been released (recorded at Giorgio Moroder’s Musicland Studios) and unissued studio tracks collected on Momentaufnahme I and Momentaufnahme II. The final disc in the CD version contains material from two seven-inch singles which feature in the vinyl box set.

The first seven inch features ‘Lieber Herr Deutschland’, the demo recording the band sent to Polydor in 1971 (eventually issued as the B-side to their single ‘Baby’) while the second is ‘So Far’, the very first Faust single on Polydor (originally issued in 1972).

Faust 1971-1974 is very limited with just 2,000 copies available as the 7LP+2×7″ set and an even lower number (1,000) on CD.
