Bukka White - 1968 Memphis Festival & Horizons Sessions [2 CD, 2006]

This two CD set featuring Bukka's 1968 performance at the Memphis Country Blues Festival on Disc One and his complete Blue Horizon studio sessions on Disc Two. Although Bukka's career as a blues artist began in the '30s, his huge influence on Blues was not properly acknowledged until nearly 30 years later when Bob Dylan recorded his version of Bukka's 'Fixin' to Die Blues'. Only then, did people stand up and take notice of the amazing talents of this Mississippi bluesman. These recordings show an artist still gifted with the talents that made him one of the finest around. 23 tracks in all including 'Highway '61', 'Drifting Blues', 'Old Man Tom', 'You Don't Know My Mind', 'Got Sick And Tired' and more.
